Bio Marion Edward Weatherington II (born August 27, 1982 in Wilmington, North Carolina) also known as THE SOUTHERN GENTLEMAN DJ 2MUCH is of African American and Native American descent. He is the son of Marion Edward Weatherington Sr. (December 2, 1958 - September 20, 2008) who served in the United States Marine Corps and retired as a Master Sergeant (Msgt) after 27 years and Cynthia Ann Weatherington (October 27, 1961) LPN and Assistant Resident Service Director. 2MUCH was first introduced to hip-hop when "House Party" featuring Kid N Play and Full Force came out in 1990. "I fell in love with music and dancing then. The battle between Kid N Play, the dance off between them and the ladies, and Martin on the turntables. I learned later that those were 3 of the 4 elements of hip-hop. It was a rap then, I knew I would love this for a while."

While his father was stationed in South Carolina, 2MUCH would attend Friday and Saturday nights at the local skating rink. "At this time it was all about Florida Bass 2Live Crew, 95 South, 69 Boyz, Quad City DJs, and you definitely can't forget Ghost Town DJ's. This is what I listened to mostly. I was from the south and in the south, so that was all I really knew. At the skating rink I was also introduce to classic songs like Planet Rock by Afrika Bambaataa and the Soulsonic Force or Look Out Weekend by Debbie Deb. These songs get it in on the rink floor." In the summer of 1998 2MUCH moved to San Diego, California where in 2000 he started working at Skate World in Linda Vista. Here, he met and befriended the resident DJ (DJ Monty). "Watching him and how he controlled the crowd and the respect he got from everyone, I definitely admired that, I wanted to have that same respect, but I was scared and didn't think that I could."

In 2000 2MUCH moved to Stafford, Virginia where he worked at the Cavalier Skating rink and once again became close friends with the resident DJ (DJ Roy). "My DJ story probably isn't as poetic as most DJs. It was one night before a session, DJ Roy called me up to the booth, he showed me how every was setup and how to turn it on. He was like okay, I'll see you next Saturday. Next Saturday came along, he called me up to the DJ booth again, and asked me to set everything up. I did and he said that I would be djing next week. I was so nervous, scared, shaking, it was crazy. Plus, djing at a skating rink is way different from djing a party or club, but I did it and did it well." From 2001 to 2005, 2MUCH built his reputation djing at the Cavalier Skating rink in Stafford, VA and Teen USA in Thornburg, VA. “I had thrown a couple of parties for a friend and they went pretty well. No serious fights and no real trouble. The only problem I had was the DJ that I was using wasn’t entertaining the crowd, he was just playing music. I mean he was playing songs people wanted to hear, but if that’s all I wanted I would have just hooked up the radio.” In 2005, 2MUCH purchased his own DJ equipment and selected his name

2MUCH decided to further his education and help out his possible radio career by going to school for broadcasting. "I wasn't the biggest fan of school, the only reason I graduated high school was so I wouldn't have to go to school anymore. I became part of the workforce and realized that even though I was making money, I wasn't really happy with what I was doing. So I started to research on how I could get into radio." While attending broadcasting school, he started DJing in the Northern Virginia area. He's had the opportunity to work along side DJ Joe and DJ Alizay from 93.9 WKYS as well as hip hop artist Wale and Tabi Bonney from Washington D.C.

Even though 2MUCH had a very successful DJing career so far, he wasn't able to break into the radio business so easily. Finally, in January of 2008 a local radio station changed its format and became 99.3 The Vibe FREDERICKSBURG'S #1 HIT MUSIC STATION. Soon as he found this out, he submit his air-check and resume for any and every position that was available. "All I knew was anywhere they hired me, I was going to be working for a radio station. At was my first dream for the longest. I had been in Stafford for a while, trying work in all these big markets and wasn't having any luck. Then this station opens up, so I definitely thought this was a sign that I should be here." After many attempts and a year of being told no, in April of 2009 99.3 The Vibe hired 2MUCH as a board operator and on-air personality.
